Techies held for protest bid at Cyber Towers

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police on Thursday took into custody a few software professionals who tried to hold a protest at Cyber Towers here in support of former AP chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police last week.

Police said that they had dispersed the crowd and took some of the IT professionals to the police station. The IT professionals were let off later.

Thursday’s protest was planned near Cyber towers in the afternoon after hundreds of professionals protested at the Wipro junction, Gachibowli, on Wednesday. Acting on tip-off, police deployed additional force near Cyber Towers and picked up all those who had gathered to hold a protest.
