Bengaluru: The state BJP has once again rubbished Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy's claim that it was attempting to destabilise the Congress- JD(S) coalition government in the state. BJP state general secretary, N. Ravikumar, called the Chief Minister's statement  "childish, reckless and ridiculous"  and asserted that it had no role to play in the present crisis gripping the  government.

"Mr Kumaraswamy has realised that the ground is slipping from under his feet. His body language clearly suggests that he is helpless and desperate. Unable to accept the emerging reality, he has been speaking irresponsibly," he charged here on Friday.

The BJP leader called the talk of crores of rupees being mobilised by the party  and transported to a few places absurd.  "The Chief Minister has all the power to stop this. Instead he is busy giving bytes to television channels,"  Mr Ravikumar said, noting that Mr  Kumaraswamy's own nephew, Prajwal Revanna, had gone on record to say that "only those who bring suitcases are given posts in the JDS."  "This statement is a telling comment on the state of affairs in the JDS. The BJP would like to gently remind the Chief Minister of his nephew's comment," Mr Ravikumar added.
