Kochi: Housewife alleges sexual assault

Kochi: A housewife at Elamakkara here has lodged a complaint with the Kochi City Police commissioner charging a tile worker of sexual assault and blackmailing.

The cops are searching for one Shiju, a native of Poothotta, who went underground.

The victim originally filed the complaint with the Elamakkara Police station based on which the cops lodged a case under section 376 IPC (rape) on July 7.

"The incident happened two years ago when the accused took up the contract for laying tiles in an under-construction house of her. She alleges that he had sexually assaulted her and recorded the same in mobile phone," the police said.

As per the complaint, the accused then blackmailed her and allegedly forced her to give money and gold several times.
