Outsiders behind Sirsi mayhem?

Sirsi: Violence-hit Sirsi in Uttar Kannada district limped back to normalcy on Wednesday after it was ravaged by violence with educational institutes remaining open and buses plying as usual. Shops  remained open since the morning. 

But panic-stricken shop owners downed shutters in the afternoon after some miscreants spread rumours of a riot breaking out again. Deputy commissioner S.S. Nakul, who held a peace committee meeting, said  some miscreants from outside the district, had hatched a conspiracy to disrupt peacet. He  said the culprits will be traced and action will be initiated. 

"There is a systematic conspiracy to mislead people by spreading false information in  social media. We are keeping a close watch on messages being circulated in WhatsApp and Facebook. Citizens should not get confused about the reason for the death of the youth as the final report of the post-mortem of Paresh Mesta's body is still awaited", said the DC. 

Meanwhile, Opposition leader Jagadish Shettar met all those detained in connection with the violence  and demanded that the government  withdraw cases filed under Section 307  against the arrested youth.
