New Delhi: "The Answer is Modi", external affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar told cheering members of the Indian diaspora in London at a Diwali reception on Monday evening (early Tuesday morning IST) on what has changed in India now.

Mr Jaishankar, who is on a five-day visit to Britain till Wednesday, spoke about the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre in the past nine years, due to which India, he said, is marching forward in various sectors, including technology, start-ups, skill development, social sectors, women and girls' empowerment and welfare schemes for the weaker sections of society.

To loud applause, Mr Jaishankar also mentioned India's successful Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission and said it led to "phenomenal brand enhancement" for India and highlighted the country's technological leap. Speaking about strong bilateral ties with Britain, the external affairs minister mentioned the flourishing trade between the two nations and how they are negotiating a free trade pact to further boost this.
