Hyderabad: “The government of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) did not defend the Dharna Chowk in the High Court as they have decided that they will be in the Opposition,” BJP leader Nallu Indrasena Reddy said.

Speaking to the media, Indrasena Reddy said, “The TRS now needs a Dharna Chowk as they are going to be in the Opposition. That reason has stopped them from defending it in court. The TRS has banned it in an undemocratic way. We welcome the judgment of the court.”

Earlier, Indrasena Reddy had approached the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and complained that the TRS and Congress were violating the election code.

He said, “The elections must be free and fair. We have taken the issue of the Singareni colony to the Election Commission. The management has issued a circular asking to avoid Singareni gate meetings as the meetings would have an impact on the production. But, the management is allowing the TRS leaders to campaign in the colony. The CEO said that it was in their notice and would now issue the notices based on the written complaint filed by us.”

“The Congress has also violated the election code by announcing a Christian manifesto. We have also complained on the news items which are similar to paid news. The TRS which has a supporting paper is not publishing the facts,” he added.
