HYDERABAD: A two-day mega event organised by the Indian Army as part of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’, marking the 75th year of Indian Independence, concluded on Sunday. The event, inaugurated by Major General Ranjeet Singh Manral, General Officer Commanding, Telangana and Andhra Sub Area, on Saturday, included felicitation of gallantry award winners and Veer Naris, display of weapons of Indian armed forces, cultural programmes, folk dances, mallakhamb, kalaripayattu, para motor, parasailing and daring motorcycle rides by Dare Devils (Corps of Signals).

Taking part in the concluding ceremony at Parade Ground, municipal administration and urban development minister K.T. Rama Rao said, "There are many things that divide us. But a few other things bind us together and being Indian is one. Let's continue to focus on what unites us and not what divides us. Let's continue to ensure that this country of ours continues to prosper, thrive and truly become a role model for the rest of the world.”

"When I meet investors from various parts of the world, I tell them that India cannot be compared to any other nation in the world as we are unique and diverse. We have diverse languages, dialects, cultures, eating habits, attire and more. We possibly are the most diverse nation in the world and are the world's largest democracy," said Rama Rao.
