Timing of MP Srinivas son's arrest questioned

The police presented the Sanjay before the Nizamabad Frist Additional Judicial first class magistrate Sara Meri Danamma.

NIZAMABAD: Nizamabad police on Sunday claimed that they had arrested Dharmapuri Sanjay, former Mayor of the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation and son of Rajyasabha MP D. Srinivas. The police presented the Sanjay before the Nizamabad Frist Additional Judicial first class magistrate Sara Meri Danamma.   

But,  Sanjay along with his counsels came to Nizmabad from Hyderabad and surrendered before the police. He was grilled for some time on the incident by the police and later taken him to Government General Hospital for medical examination.     Mr Sanjay was accused of sexual harassment by 11 B.Sc students of Shankari Nursing college in Nizamabad. However, it is learnt that Sanjay surrendered to the police following the news that he was absconding to avoid the arrest and trying for anticipatory bail. Cases under SC and ST Atrocity have booked against Sanjay.

News was making in the political circles that, it all stated just after Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha complained to the party high command against party Rajya sabha MP D. Srinivas after differences crop up between both the leaders. However, Chief Minister did not respond on the complaint given by Kavitha. It is also said that the ‘present incident’ took place when news was making rounds that  Mr Srinivas was preparing ground to return to his mother party Congress before the elections resigning to the post.
