Hubballi: All BJP MPs and Union ministers from the state will do everything possible to stop shifting of Aero Show  from Bengaluru to Lucknow,  state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa asserted here on Monday. Speaking to reporters in Gadag, he said the state government was causing unnecessary confusion among the people on the issue when defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman had already clarified that no decision had  been taken in the matter.

The BJP state chief once again hit out at CM H.D. Kumaraswamy for his symbolic gesture of  sowing paddy with farmers as it would not solve anything. "The government should instead focus on the 13 districts which are reeling under drought due to a poor monsoon in these parts.  The Chief Minister should tour North Karnataka and take up drought relief measures on a war- footing as the standing crops are drying up, forcing the farmers to commit suicide. But the state government has not yet opened procurement centres although the Centre has announced a support price for the green gram crop," he said.
