Osmania General Hospital outpatient ward crumbles

An attendant of a patient received injuries on the head and has been treated at the out-patient level.

Hyderabad: A huge chunk of concrete cement block collapsed in the out-patient ward of the Osmania General Hospital on Monday evening creating a huge sound and injuring one person.  An attendant of a patient received injuries on the head and has been treated at the out-patient level.  There were no other patients or their relatives in the hospital premises or waiting outside as the crowd is mostly there from 6 am in the morning till 3 pm in the evening. 

Dr P. Naik, senior anaesthesiologist explained, “We heard a blast and relatives of patients present in the compound, ran for cover. The condition of the building is deteriorating and we have time and again brought this to the notice of the government.”
