Hyderabad: One person was injured during a minor stampede after a lathi-charge at the Secunderabad railway station on Friday. Officials said the station has been witnessing a massive rush of passengers ahead of the festival weekend. 

South Central railway has already increased the platform ticket price to Rs 20, from Rs 10. 

Friday’s incident, which left a 30-year-old woman passenger injured, took place when passengers broke queue and rushed to catch seats on the Falaknuma Express, which was on the platform.
