No Arjitha sevas from December 28 at Tirumala

Nellore: The temple management of TTD has been making elaborate arrangements for three upcoming important days, Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Vaikuntha Dwadasi and New Year Day, said Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju. 

A meeting with HoDs of TTD, APSRTC and police officials took place at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday. Speaking on this occasion, the JEO said, “In view of these three important days where unprecedented pilgrim crowds are expected, TTD has cancelled all Arjitha sevas and Divya Darshanam tokens from December 28 to January 1.

He also said there will be no “privilege darshan’ for the aged, handicapped,  parents with infants, and donors on these days. 

According to the JEO, devotees will be allowed into compartments from 10 am onwards on December 28. When all the compartments are full, special queues will be allowed at Alwar Tank, Narayanagiri Gardens, VQC 2, Karnataka Chowltries 2, Medaramitta, near North Mada Street and up to Ring Road near Bata Gangammagudi. 

“On December 29: Vaikuntha Ekadasi, since it is a Friday, the sarva darshan will be delayed by four hours due to Abhisheka Seva. The ‘break darshan’ will be from 5:30 am to 8 am, which will follow by sarva darshan,” the JEO informed. 

The JEO said, for constitutional dignitaries, including judicial officers, the accommodation allotment counters will be  set up at Venkata Nilayam, for MLCs, MLAs, MPs in Ramaraja Nilayam and Sita Nilayam, for IAS  officers at Sannidhanam, other officers in Gumble Guest House. 

If the constitutional dignitaries come for ‘self darshan’, they will be allotted five tickets in addition to  the dignitary, and in the case of IAS officers and public representatives, one plus three tickets will be allotted. The pilgrims are requested to co-operate with the TTD. 

“Elaborate food and water arrangements will be made during these three important days. While the garden and electrical wings will come out with floral decorations and electrical illumination for the festivities", he added. 

CVSO A Ravikrishna, Tirupati Urban SP  Abhishek Mohanty, FACAO O Balaji, Additional CVSO  Siva Kumar Reddy, SEs  Ramachandra Reddy, Ramesh Reddy,  Venkateswarulu, APSRTC RM  Nagasivudu, GM Sesha Reddy and other officers were also present.
