New Delhi: BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday trai-ned his guns at RBI governor Raghuram Rajan, saying he should be removed as he is not fit for the nation. Dr Swamy said the Dr Rajan should be sent back to Chicago as the RBI governor is harming the nation's economy.

“In my opinion, the RBI governor is not apt for our country. I don’t want to speak much about him. His move to increase the interest rates, so as to cut down inflation and stabilise the economy, has backfired and has badly affected the nation,” Dr Swamy told reporters.

He claimed that industries have “collapsed,” leading to rise in unemployment. “The sooner he is sent back to Chicago, the better it would be,”   Dr Swamy said.
