Public toilets are turning out to be a waste of space because of the poor maintenance, say citizens of Telangana.

Hyderabad: Acting on reports on lack of toilets at Nizamia Tibbi Government College forcing students to use facilities at a nearby hostel, the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) ordered district collector to submit a report by July 25.

A report published in Deccan Chronicle on April 8 had exposed the plight of the student studying in this college which is one of the oldest in the city. Speaking to DC, the students claimed that the college authorities always turned a blind eye towards their problems.

Taking note of the pathetic conditions existing at the college and the poor infrastructure, the SHRC ordered the Hyderabad district collector to inquire and submit a report by July 25.
