Police rescue child labourers from eateries in Medchal

Police booked three cases against the employers under the Juvenile Justice Act and Child Labour Act.

Hyderabad: Four children including two from Nepal who were employed at eateries in Medchal were rescued by Medchal police and sent to a rescue home at Saidabad. Police booked three cases against the employers under the Juvenile Justice Act and Child Labour Act.

They were found by the Operation Smile Team on Monday. Two children are aged 14 years, one 10 years and the other is eight years. The SI said that the two Nepali nationals (aged 14 and 10) were also among the rescued children and the other two are from Nizamabad and Nagarkurnool. Their parents who migrated to the city were working as labourers.
