It was during his stint that the Organisation for Counter Terrorist Operations (Octopus), the Telangana police counter terrorism wing, was brought into deal with offenders in a property offence. Octopus was also roped in to flush out armed offenders, suspected to be hiding in a residential apartment after a failed attempt to rob a Muthoot Finance branch at Mailardevpally in August 2017.
