Protest calls for abolishing CP scheme

Sampath Kumar Sawamy added that caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has forgotten all the promises he made during the agitation.

Hyderabad: Telangana State employees, teachers and pensioners on Sunday held a protest demanding the abolition of the Contributory Pension Scheme at Nampally exhibition grounds.

Speaking to this newspaper Telangana Employees Association president, CH Sampath Kumar Sawamy said, “Our main demand was to abolish the CPS and to regularise all the contract employees.”

“Around  1,200 employees who participated in the Telangana agitation were in Andhra Pradesh. They should be brought to Telangana immediately,” he said.

He added that caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has forgotten all the promises he made during the agitation.
