Hyderabad: Brain dead man donates four organs

Four organs of P. Jagan Reddy were donated to the Jeevandan scheme of the government after he met with an accident.

Hyderabad: Four organs of P. Jagan Reddy were donated to the Jeevandan scheme of the government after he met with an accident and was declared brain dead.

Thirty-five-year-old Reddy, a professor with government junior college in Kilagnapur, was coming home on a bike when he applied emergency brake to save a dog who came on his way. Consequently, he fell down and his back head was severely injured. 

He was first rushed to Mahbubnagar and then to Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad.

But there was no improvement in his condition and was declared brain dead. 

His family members gave consent to donate kidneys, eyes and liver to the government scheme.
