RTC to operate 235 more services during Dasara

Nellore: The RTC has made arrangements to operate 235 additional services from Nellore in view of the Dasara holidays commencing from Thursday.

According to Nellore regional manager of RTC, G.V. Ravi Varma, 66 services have been earmarked for Hyderabad, 87 for Bangalore, 37 for Chennai, 15 for Kadapa and 5 each for Anantapur and Kurnool.

RTC has decided to charge one and a half times of the fare, since most of the services go almost empty to the destinations now to pick up passengers bound for Nellore, for the holidays, from places like Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.

Ravi Varma said they were ready to add additional services, if there is a demand for any sector in the state. Passengers can reserve tickets in advance as the reservation facility is now open.
