Accused carried out theft at 'Nizam Museum' were childhood friends: Anjani Kumar

Hyderabad: Ghouse Pasha and Mohammed Mubeen, who carried out the theft at the Nizam Museum a week ago, were released from police custody a few months ago. 

Ghouse was released on bail in July after being arrested by the Rajendranagar police for a property offence. Mubeen, who was working in the Gulf, was jailed there for assaulting a Pakistani national and was deported to India four months ago.

Ghouse and Mubeen are distant relatives as well as childhood friends and were brought up in the same locality, Dairy Farm area in Rajendranagar, city police chief Anjani Kumar said.

“Ghouse Pasha is a Class VII drop out from an Urdu medium school. He first committed an offence in 2011 and is involved in about 15 property offences so far, including house breaking and automobile thefts. He was last arrested in August 2017 by Rajendranagar police and was released on bail in July 2018. Mohd Mubeen is a Class II drop out also from an Urdu medium school. In 2015, he went to Saudi Arabia for work and while he was there, he was imprisoned for about two-and-a-half months for assaulting a Pakistani national. Abo-ut four months ago, he was deported to India from Saudi Arabia,” the commissioner said.

Ghouse Pasha started doing centring work and was residing near Dairy farm in Chinthalmet in  Rajendranagar. Mohd Mubeen worked as a welder and lived in Wadi-E-Mahmood in Rajendranagar.
