Hyderabad: Kidnapped girl Traced in 10 hours

Police received a complaint from the parents of T. Vaishnavi, 5, who was kidnapped on her way from school.

Hyderabad: Within 10 hours after the complaint of a missing five-year-old girl was registered, the Langer Houz police formed four teams comprising 40 personnel and traced the kidnapper in Vikarabad district.

Police received a complaint from the parents of T. Vaishnavi, 5, who was kidnapped on her way from school. The police formed four tea-ms comprising 40 members, analysed CCTV footage from the surrounding areas, and identified the accused.

Vaishnavi was lured by the abductor with chocolates. Inspector Ch. Srinivas said, “We had a breakthrough when we noticed the accused having tea at a tea stall in the CCTV footage. The stall owner identified him as Pakirappa, a regular. Pakirappa used to work as a labourer and we found he was from Raipur, Vikrabad."

A home guard happened to be a relative of the sarpanch of Raipur. He informed the police about Pakirappa arriving with Vaishnavi. the police rushed there and rescued her.
