Amaravati: The Krishna Delta Parirakshana Samiti has demanded that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu release a white paper on Amaravati lands.

Mentioning about collection of 33,000 acres of farmlands from the farmers under Land Pooling Scheme (LPS), the KDPS leaders demanded that the state government release a white paper about the usage of those lands, including allotment to foreign and multinational companies.

KDPS convener Kolanukonda Sivaji on Saturday alleged that Mr Naidu snatched fertile farmlands from the farmers under LPS, but failed to provide the LPS benefits despite passing of 18 months after land collection.

He lamented that the CRDA did not pay annuity to many pooled farmers, which was forcing them to turn into workers to eke out a living. He demanded immediate payment of annuity to all pooled farmers.

Mr Sivaji demanded allotment of reconstituted developed commercial plots and residential plots not only on papers but real developed plots.

The pooled farmers sacrificed their livelihood for the establishment of a world class new capital and not to start businesses of foreign and multi-national companies, Mr Sivaji claimed.

He objected to the allotment of farmers’ lands to the foreign companies on long lease. Mr Sivaji demanded that the government and the CRDA release a white paper on the usage of lands collected from farmers under the LPS.

Meanwhile, the CPM capital region convener Ch Babu Rao demanded that the government to setup all party committee on land allotments for various private education institutions in Amaravati capital location and also discuss the issue in Assembly.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, he said that the government has offered Rs 50 lakhs per each acre when market value is Rs 10 crores. He said that the government would lose nearly Rs 5,000 crores under this land allotment.
He also wondered when the government collected 33,000 acres of lands from farmers but making plans to construct administration buildings in 900 acres.

He asked the government how many corporate companies applied for land allocation so far and what are guidelines for allotment. He suggested the government to allot lands under competition system, if there is any need to allot lands for private companies.
