Hyderabad: The voter verification process at the polling booths was time consuming and it was one of many reasons that upset voters.

The voters are called out by their names at multiple places before they are allowed to vote. This process that involves name verification, signature registration, inking of the finger and voting was altogether lengthy.

Voters said that each voter took about three minutes or more to vote and come out.

Voters were of the opinion that the system could have been made faster by using the appropriate latest technology.

When asked about the delay, the officials said that this process charted by the government will ensure that there is no bogus voting.

With the huge number of voting to be dealt with the mere waiting period outside the polling booth will also be a deterrent for the people to come out and vote.
