KT Rama Rao's Twitter does GHMC's job

Hyderabad: Two residents were surprised when Municipal Minister K.T. Rama Rao took note of their complaints on his official twitter account, prompting immediate action.

Srikanth Muthrak from Bowenpally had tweeted about the pig menace at Harijan Basti, Hashmatpet, Old Bowenpally, Circle 14B. Shortly after the tweet, staff from the Veterinary Wing was deployed and three pigs  from the area were rescued. Search for more animals is on.

Another quick action was from the town planning authorities who pulled down a massive illegal shed at Ayyappa Society, Madhapur.

GHMC officials did not even know of the huge illegal structure and only woke up when a resident named Srinivas tweeted to minister K.T. Rama Rao,  who forwarded the complaint.
