Madras High Court gets two new judges
Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul administered the oath of office to the two judges at a simple function held on the premises of the HC.
Chennai: Justices Huluvadi G Ramesh and Rajiv Shakdher, transferred from Allahabad and Delhi high courts, on Monday were sworn in as judges of the Madras high court.
Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul administered the oath of office to the two judges at a simple function held on the premises of the Madras high court. With their appointment, the total number of judges has gone up to 42 as against the sanctioned strength of 75.
Born on May 20, 1957, Justice Huluvadi G. Ramesh, enrolled as an advocate on March 12, 1981. He was appointed as a district judge on February 2, 1993.
He was appointed as an additional judge of Karnataka HC on September 8, 2003, and became a permanent judge on September 24, 2004, and he was
transferred to Allahabad high court on February 16, 2015.
Born on October 19, 1962, Justice Rajiv Shakdher, completed his B.Com from Delhi University. He obtained his LLB from Law Faculty, University of Delhi in 1987. He was appointed as additional judge of Delhi high court on April 11, 2008 and became a permanent judge on October 17, 2011.
