Hyderabad: TS Planning Commission vice chairman B. Vinod Kumar advised Opposition leaders, particularly those of the BJP, not to spread falsehoods on financial situation of the state.

In a statement, he said that Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman had placed the true picture of the financial situation of the state in Parliament.

Mr Kumar found fault with BJP leaders creating false propaganda on the state finances even after Ms Sitharaman’s statement in Parliament that Telangana has surplus revenue and is making borrowings within the limits of the Financial Responsibility and Budget Management Act.

He said the Congress and BJP leaders must open their eyes at least after the statement of Ms Sitharaman and stop their Goebbels propaganda.
