Chennai: The State government is considering to include Kundrathur Panchayat Union in the government’s solid waste management plan.

Replying to an issue raised by the Sriperumbudur MLA K. Palani in the Assembly on Monday, Municipal Administration Minister S. P. Velumani said as there were difficulties in implementing the drainage system, the government would go ahead with the waste management  system for the removal of effluence and other liquid waste in the area. The government would also establish a pumping station in Madurantakam and the plan had been under the consideration of the government.

Also, he said the government is in the look out of an ideal place to set up reverse osmosis plant.
