Bharat Bandh: Chikkamagaluru shut for the day

Chikkamagaluru: Although a stronghold of BJP,  Chikkamagaluru almost shut down for the day. The JD(S)  expectedly supported the bandh call. Party’s local spokesman Holalgadde Girish claimed that people had voluntarily supported the bandh call as they were fed up Modi government’s policies.

A trader was attacked allegedly by Congress workers at Balehonnur when he refused to down shutters. A former TP president was assaulted by the workers. 
In Hassan, JD(S) workers took out a bullock cart  procession to protest fuel price hike. The workers also organised a bike rally in the town.
