Honnalli: Five killed as car hits parked lorry

Karwar: Five people were killed and four injured when a car rammed into a stationary truck on Wednesday night.

The incident took place on the National Highway at Honnalli. The car was moving towards Yellapur and hit a parked truck.

The deceased have been identified as Prabhu Shiralashetti, Rudrappa Gurupadappa, Suvarna Rudrappa, Akash Muttappa Shiralashetti and Sowmya Angadi.  The injured have been shifted to hospital at Karwar for treatment. The victims are said to be from Vijayapura.

Ankoal police have registered a case.
