Foundation laid for temples in Hyderabad

These temples would be built with a budget of Rs 16.7 crore on a three acres area.

Hyderabad: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will be building Lord Balaji and Lord Ganapathi temples in Banjara Hills. These temples would be built with a budget of Rs 16.7 crore on a three acres area. Construction would be over within one year, TTD chairman Dr Chadala-wada Krishnamurthy said.

The temples will have sanctum sanctorum, artha mandapam and maha mandapam. The Lord Venkateswara temple will have a dwajasthambam and prakaram. The TTD was constructing the temples as per the directions of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandra-babu Naidu, he said. TTD priests performed bhoomi puja and Dr Krishnamurthy laid the foundation stone for the temples on Wednesday.
