Angry home guards block Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway

Hyderabad: Home Guards deployed on Krishna Pushkaralu duty staged a demonstration on the road at Pebbair on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway resulting in a traffic jam on Wednesday.

They were protesting at not being provided adequate facilities at the accommodation centres, near Pebbair. Senior police officials assured the Home Guards that facilities would be improved and persuaded them to call off their agitation. They later cleared the traffic.
