Hyderabad: For the second consecutive day, both states received a good amount of rainfall. However the Saturday rains have also been attributed to the pre-monsoon thunderstorm weather condition.

The expected south-west monsoons, the local weather bureau informed, will also be advancing in parts of Rayalaseema, some parts of Telangana and some more parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 2-3 days.

On last Friday, a low pressure area had  formed over west- central and north Bay of Bengal, off north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coast. This low-pressure area now lies over northern parts of central and north Bay of Bengal.

The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to mid-tropospheric levels and is tilting southwestwards. It is likely to become well marked during the next 48 hours, the IMD-Hyderabad officials said.
