If a Singapore firm like Jurong cannot deliver a 710 flats project Harita with promised features and quality and taken all the 710 allottees and Vuda for a ride, how could it be trusted to undertake work on Amaravati, an allottee said.

Visakhapatnam: Members of the Vuda Harita Allottees Association had demanded that Vuda should complete all repairs in the flats as per the inspection check lists suggested by the empanelled architects and civil engineers which were brought to the attention of VUDA by the individual allottees.

Association president, Dr Gan Bhukta, said that members have been experiencing agony due to the indifferent and callous attitude and faulty implementation of the total project which was promised to be completed and flats to be handed over way back in 2011.

“Even after a delay of five years the project is still not fully complete leaving a number of construction gaps. Though the project is said to be over in its entirety by Vuda, there are many issues to be addressed at the earliest. If a Singapore Company like Jurong cannot deliver a 710 flat Housing Project Harita with promised features and quality and taken all the 710 allottees and Vuda for a ride, how could it be trusted to undertake work on Amaravati capital,” he asked.

He also added that each flat owner in all HIG, MIG and LIG categories should be provided car parking facility as promised in the allotment letter and the notified parking lot number has to be mentioned in the sale deed. The promised additional covered parking for about 250 cars should be completed on a war footing, he added. All common facilities like community centre, medical centre, shopping centre etc. should be handed over to the Association as mentioned in the allotment letter as they belong to the allottees.

“Vuda always made the allottees believe that the social infrastructure is a part of the gated community and the allottees should form as an association to use for the common good,” said another member of the association.

While thanking the Vuda for the excellent plantation, the allottees demanded that Vuda should maintain the plantation at its expense at least for a period of two years and hand over the same to the Association.

Dr Bhukta further said that occupation of the flats is not happening because the allottees are waiting for all the defects and lapses in the construction of the flats to be rectified first as promised. Also out of the 300 kitchen platforms that were defectively constructed at a height of more than 110 centimetres while the normal height to be observed is 88 cms Vuda rectified only 50 of them. As a result the womenfolk have to use a wooden stool or additional height to cook, he said.

He also said that all the allottees feel that they have been deceived by the Vuda by not paying the interest due to them. There are variations in interest calculations given at different points of time and the final calculations intimated in their individual letters.

As promised already the Vuda should inform the interest calculations to the allottees and also post the same on its website, they demanded.
