Karnataka: Anganwadi workers get another Rs 1,000 increase

The state government has agreed to increase the honorarium to Anganwadi workers by Rs 1000.

Bengaluru: The state government has agreed to increase the honorarium to Anganwadi workers by Rs 1000, ending the impasse between the government and the workers, who had gone on an indefinite strike during the budget session.

During the budget, the government had increased their honorarium by Rs 1,000 honorary. On Monday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah agreed to increase it by another Rs 1,000.

After this second hike, Anganwadi workers will get Rs 8,000 as their total honorarium. Along with Anganawadi workers, even helpers and Mini-Anganawadi workers too will get a raise of Rs 500.
