Hyderabad: Twelve days after the suicide of Naini Naveen in Dubai, his body is yet to reach his home town in Nizamabad. Family members of the deceased requested the Telangana state government to bring his body back to India.

Speaking to this newspaper, Naveen’s mother N. Anasuya said, “My son called me the day he committed suicide saying the company he was working for had not paid him for two years. When he asked for his salary, the manager allegedly threatened that he would not pay the salary at all.”

The victim’s brother, Gangadhar, who tried finding Naveen’s body in Dubai said, “After going to different police stations, I finally found his body in Sharaj Central Prison. The police did not even let me have a glimpse of the body. When asked when they would hand it over, officials said it would take another three to four days and that they would hand over the body only after the completion of an inquiry.”
