People Best Ambassadors of Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra: Nirmala Sitharaman

VIJAYAWADA: Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that people have been the ambassadors of Vikasit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra (VBSY) till date. Driven by the 'sab ka saath, sab ka vikas' motto, the government has helped people with crores of rupees by way of various schemes.

She was speaking after inaugurating the ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ programme at Rayanapadu in Vijayawada rural mandal on Saturday. She visited various stalls highlighting schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana and Jan Dhan Yojana.

Many beneficiaries expressed their delight at people-friendly schemes like ‘PM Ujjwala Yojana’ and ‘PMEGP’ and getting free LPG gas cylinders and stoves.

The minister said that people were the ambassadors of VBSY, which is a nationwide initiative designed to raise awareness about various schemes provided by the central government, she said. The ultimate goal is to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits they are entitled to, she added.

The minister said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants India to be the most developed country by 2047. Towards this, he started on November 15. The Centre is raising awareness about 17 schemes, including Ayushman Bharat, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and PM Kisan. ”

The minister for disaster management and the party’s NTR district in-charge Taneti Vanitha stated that both the central and state governments have implemented several schemes for the welfare of the people. Praising Nirmala Sitharaman for her exemplary performances, she urged women to consider her as a role model.

Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad, Krishna ZP chairperson Uppala Harika, NTR district collector Dr. S. Dilli Rao, BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari and others were present.
