Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes panel appointments challenged

The petitioner contended that the appointment was in violation to the orders of the Supreme Court in Indira Sawheny case.

Hyderabad: A PIL has been moved before the Hyderabad High Court challenging the appointment of the chairman and members  of the Backward Classes Commission of Andhra Pradesh. The Backward Classes Empowerment Federation represented by its official representative Mr P Jayaprakash Narayana moved the PIL seeking to declare the appointment of Justice Manjunath and other three members as illegal. The petitioner contended that the appointment was in violation to the orders of the Supreme Court in Indira Sawheny case.
