Cyberabad police seizes Rs 82.7 lakh in cash

The seized cash had Rs72.1 lakh in new currency.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police seized Rs 82.7 lakh unaccounted cash in Shadnagar and apprehended  two persons  for questioning. The seized cash had Rs72.1 lakh in new currency.

On credible information Kothur police intercepted a car registered in the name of M. Chandra Reddy on NH 44 under limits of Kothur Police station and on checking found cash worth Rs82.21 lakh.

Of this Rs71.1 lakh is cash was in Rs2,000 currency while the balance Rs11.11 lakh was in lower denominations. A case was registered in Kothur Police station and further inquiry is on.
