Hyderabad: Man falls from mango tree, dies

At about 6.30 am, Jahangir climbed a mango tree at Kummarwadi in order to pluck leaves.

Hyderabad: A 42-year-old man accidentally fell from a mango tree while he was plucking leaves for Varalakshmi Vratam and died on Friday morning. T. Jahangir, 42, had come to the city from Shadnagar.

Sultan Bazaar inspector K. Subbarami Reddy said, “At about 6.30 am, Jahangir climbed a mango tree at Kummarwadi in order to pluck leaves. He accidentally fell down and died on the spot.” The police booked a case of accidental death and further investigation is underway. The body was sent for post-mortem and handed over to his family.
