Anantapur steel plant will get all clearances soon: Jagan

ANANTAPUR: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said on Sunday that the long-awaited steel plant at Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district will get clearances including the environmental nod from the Centre by July 15.

As part of his three-day tour of Kadapa district, the Chief Minister said this would provide additional employment opportunities for youths at Kopparthi Industrial Park, where ancillary units would come up.

The Chief Minister, while referring to the Dickson unit at Kopparthi industrial park, said thousands of youths will have employment opportunities in the area. The state government would sign MoUs with several investors at Kopparthi on Monday, he said.
