Hyderabad: Thieves steal property worth over Rs 22 lakh

The cops have registered cases and are investigating the break-ins at Malakpet and Rajendranagar.

Hyderabad: In two separate break-in incidents on Monday, thieves, cumulatively, stole properties worth over Rs 22 lakh. The cops have registered cases and are investigating the break-ins at Malakpet and Rajendranagar.

Having returned from a trip to Shirdi on April 7 morning, the family of B. Suresh Kumar,  a realtor from Malakpet, found that unidentified persons broke into their home and took away Rs 16 lakh in cash and about 30 tolas gold that was present in an almirah.

Following his complaint, the Malakpet police along with clues team, dog squad and also fingerprint team visited the scene and collected the available clues.

The cops said that a case of theft has been registered and special teams are being formed to probe the matter.

In another incident at Rajendranagar, N. Laxminarayana, a retired government servant, found that lock of their main door was broken. On verification, they realised that gold ornaments weighing about nine tolas, 10 tolas of silver articles and some cash were stolen.
