Hyderabad: MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi asked the youth to join politics to serve the people.

The most important qualities for a politician were sincerity and patience, Mr Owaisi told young Hyderabadis from the city who had joined him on a heritage walk on Saturday at Charminar.

The heritage walk was organised as part of his recently launched initiative, the Learn Project.

Mr Owaisi, the Hyderabad MP, interacted with the students and answered their questions about youth participation in parliamentary democracy, the parliamentary process and the electoral system.

On women empowerment Mr Owaisi said that more than education women’s involvement in decision-making was critical.

Asked how he was so well informed during debates, Mr Owaisi said, “It is not rocket science, one has to read up on the topic in advance. If you are unable to understand, speak to experts.”
