Fresh off the success of Premam, actor Naga Chaitanya is now looking forward to the release of his film, Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo, set to release this weekend.

“It’s really a relief. When we started the film, we didn’t think things would extend so far. It’s a film I’m really proud of,” says the actor, who has teamed up with director Gautam Vasudev Menon for the second time after Ye Maaya Chesave.

On the experience of working with director for the second time, the actor shares, “I think it has been easier for him this time around! During Ye Maaya Chesave, I was raw and at the beginning of my career. There’s definitely been lesser number of retakes and I think the maturity has helped.”

The film is a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil with Simbhu starring in the other version. With all his peers and even his father venturing into Tamil cinema, Naga Chaitanya admits that he is not averse to it.

“By the time I was on board the film, a couple of days had been shot for the Tamil version. Or I would have definitely considered it. In fact, I think we have similar sensibilities and it would be great to reach out to a wider audience. Maybe this year I will consider it,” he says.

Talking of brother Akhil’s marriage, he says, “I am happy he’s getting married first and that all the attention is being directed to him. I can stay on the sidelines for a while!”
