Kakinada: Kakinada MP Vanga Geetha has urged the Railways to restore the Simhadri Express train and allot a special coach for women passengers in the Gowthami Express Train.

MP Vanga Geetha has urged the Railways to restore the Simhadri Express train and allot a special coach for women passengers in the Gowthami Express Train.

In a representation to the South Central Railway principal chief operations manager B. Nagya, Geetha said that passengers are facing hardships to travel between Visakhapatnam and Guntur due to the cancellation of the Simhadri Express for track repairs over the past two months.

She also requested the railway officer to restore the MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) train from Rajamahendravaram to Visakhapatnam, and stop the Ratnachal and Janmabhoomi Express trains at Pithapuram Railway station, and LTT and Swarna Jayanthi Express trains at Tuni railway station.

Geetha also appealed to the Railways to extend the Sambalpur to Varanasi Express (18311) train up to Kakinada, instead of just Visakhapatnam.
