Hyderabad High Court seeks information against criminal MLAs

Reacting to the submissions, the bench directed the counsel for the AP government to submit the details of cases pending.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed the AP government to furnish details of cases of murder, rape and robbery booked against ministers, MLAs and ex-MLAs by next week.

A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice J. Uma Devi was dealing with a PIL by YSRC MLA, A. Ramakrishna Reddy, challenging the action of the AP government in withdrawing 273 cases against TD leaders including Dy CMs K.E. Krishnamurthy and N. Chinarajappa, Speaker K. Siva Prasada Rao, and ministers D. Umamaheswara Rao, K. Ravindra, N. Anand Babu, K. Atchannaidu and G. Srinivasa Rao.
