Hyderabad: Demonetisation goals met, says Nirmala Sitharaman

Hyderabad: The objectives of demonetisation have been mostly met as cash, which was never in circulation, has now reached bank accounts, Union commerce minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.“I certainly would like to believe that the objectives of demonetisation have been met. I might need more time to elaborate as the currency has reached bank accounts,” she said while talking to the Young Ficci Ladies Organisation Hyderabad members. “It is the job of the RBI to see how much of it is accounted for and how much escaped taxation,” she said.
