Hyderabad: Hearing impaired man run over by train

Two persons, including a hearing impaired one, died in different accidents on railway tracks in the city at Ghatkesar and Moula Ali.

Safety measures are set to go high-tech in Waltair Railway Division as patrolmen will be seen carrying GPS-enabled tiny devices and all hand-pushed trolleys will be installed with GPS trackers for effective monitoring of safety inspections of the track.

Hyderabad: Two persons, including a hearing impaired one, died in different accidents on railway tracks in the city at Ghatkesar and Moula Ali.

The deceased were identified as K. Vishal, 20, and Y. Subbarao, 43.
According to Railway Police in Secunderabad, rail staff informed them on Thursday morning of the body of an unidentified person lying on the tracks between Ghatkesar and Bibinagar stations. On inquiry, the deceased was identified as K. Vishal from Rajasthan and working in a hotel at Banjara Hills.

Inquiries revealed that Vishal had jumped in front of a running train as he was depressed over an alleged love failure.

In the other case, Y. Subba Rao, a mason at Moula Ali and having hearing problems, was crossing the tracks near Moula Ali gate when he was run over by a train. He was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
