Hyderabad: Students of the Nizamia Tibbi College on Wednesday carried out a demonstration protesting against the brutal attack on Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students. They also held a Revolutionary Poetry meeting.
Ms Syeda Humera Fatima said, “We are carrying out daily activities to express our solidarity with the students of JNU who were attacked by masked goons.”
She said the management was not allowing them to protest hence they demonstrating to express their dissent over the incidents in the universities across the country.
“We are also demonstrating against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR) and this will continue until the government revokes CAA and abandon the proposal for execution of NRC at national level,” she said.
She said the Delhi administration had failed to nab the culprits responsible for the attack on the students of the JNU. It is strange that the police booked the president of the Students Union who was severely injured.
“We demand that justice be done to the students,” she added. She also asked the Unani College administration to allow them to raise their voices, which is a fundamental right.
