Mangaluru:  Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) will soon have the facility for online booking of the RTPCR test slots, a press statement from the airport said.

The Mangaluru International Airport has made all necessary measures to implement the Health Ministry's latest COVID-19 guidelines for international passengers.

In addition to the registration counters, passengers will shortly be able to register for test using the QR codes displayed at strategic locations at the arrival corridor.

The airport has set up a waiting area which can accommodate 123 passengers, have four registrations counters, and four sampling booths, including one on stand-by, and 70 rapid PCR machines.

The waiting area is also equipped with adequate washrooms, food and beverage facilities, Wi-Fi, and foreign exchange service. Dedicated passenger service executives are available in the area to assist the passengers.

Stringent sanitizing at regular intervals and deep cleaning is being conducted in areas where testing and seating arrangement has been provided. Thus, MIA has enhanced safety and convenience measures to handle international arrivals efficiently and safely.
