Bengaluru: HC stays proceedings against Ravi Belagere

The CCB had filed a chargesheet and submitted to the 1st Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court.

Bengaluru: The High Court on Friday stayed proceedings against journalist and editor of ‘Hai Bangalore’ Kannada weekly tabloid Ravi Belagere.

He had approached High court seeking to quash the case filed against him with regard to allegedly giving supari to kill his colleague Sunil Heggaravalli.

The CCB had filed a chargesheet and submitted to the 1st Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court. Belagere was arrested following a confession made to police by  Mundewadi, a sharp shooter. Later, he was granted bail. The sharp shooter had reportedly confessed that Belagere had given him a .32 revolver, two bullets and a knife, asking him to kill  Heggaravalli.
